Resurrection Power Evangelistic Ministries UK (REPEM) was founded under the leadership of the late Rev Francis Akwasi Amoako with the object of advancing the Christian Religion in the United Kingdom. Within this Object, the church’s aim was to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to all men through teachings and preaching, in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. Meetings took place initially in the home of one of the trustees and later in varying rented accommodations.

REPEM moved to shared premises with United Reformed Church (Bethnal Green) in Pott Street, London. The Church grew from a small number due to our dependence on prayer, the holy Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and our faith in the holy Name of Jesus and love for one another, all of which the Father has freely gifted us with.

Pastor Prince became the senior pastor and chairman of The Executive Board.

The church established a branch in Enfield London. This branch is now an independent and a separately run ministry

REPEM purchased its first property (The Sanctuary) in Amhurst Park (Stamford Hill) London. The Church, due to the continuous growth, established 3 services on Sundays (1 being solely in a local Ghanaian language).

The church opened a branch in Croydon for members based in the south of the capital. This offshoot is now an independent and a separately run ministry.

Resurrection Manifestations was set up to continue the work of the ministry. As part of our long term goal of effectively reaching the world (not only UK) with the powerful message of the love of the Lord Jesus Christ, REPEM set up this new church (“Resurrection Manifestations”) to focus on facilitating this objective.

The object of Resurrection Manifestations is to:

  • Promote and advance the Christian Religion in the United Kingdom;

  • Promote the education of children, young people and aspiring ministers; and

  • Provide relief for the poor, sick, handicapped and aged.

Subsequent to its formation, Resurrection Manifestations acquired a unique property (the former Carlton Cinema/Mecca Bingo) in the London Borough of Islington to use as a church auditorium and for other related activities. A testimony of how Resurrection is manifesting the glory of God in a wonderful dimension.

The members of REPEM resolved to dissolve REPEM and transfer its net assets and activities to Resurrection Manifestations.

The first phase of renovation and refurbishment of the new facility at Essex Road, Islington was completed. Two of the existing services moved from Amhurst Park to worship in the refurbished facility at Essex Road, Islington.
